Premier League transfer stories hint at extension of Torres’ stay by one month

In Chelsea transfer news, it is reported that the Blues have given the Spaniard one month to return to his coveted form. Rafa Benitez has designed a new fitness regime for Torres to get him back to his golden days at Liverpool.

The newly appointed Blues chief also plans to alter Chelsea’s tactical approach to give more space to the striker as he has been struggling in scoring. Chelsea is also gearing up for the signing of Metalist Kharkiv striker, Taison Freda during the January transfer window. (If the experiment with Torres fails to provide results). In Liverpool transfer news, Brendan Rodgers has asked Raheem Sterling to sign a new long-term contract with the Reds as the winger will turn 18 next month. Liverpool is keen on keeping the player at Anfield despite the failure of negotiations between Sterling’s representatives and the club’s managing director. Raheem has also attracted interest from Manchester City and Chelsea.

In Arsenal transfer news, the Gunners are looking all set for a Thierry Henry loan deal during the January transfer window. If the transfer takes place, it would be Henry’s third spell at the Emirates side. Arsene Wenger has come under criticism from Crystal Palace manager, Ian Holloway, over his plans for the signing of striker, Wilfried Zaha.

In Manchester United transfer news, the Red Devils are looking to make a move on Real Madrid mid-fielder, Mesut Ozil. The Old Trafford side plans to make a £20 million bid for the German player.
