Comedian Russell Brand has voiced during the filming of Brand X, his US TV chat programme, that two British male celebrities were child abusers. During a break in the filming of Brand X, the comedian Russell Brand remarked that the two British male celebrities were paedophiles, which stunned the large TV studio audience. Russell Brand’s remark on the alleged two British male celebrities emerged during a monologue about discredited TV personality, Jimmy Savile, and Operation Yewtree, the UK police investigation of child sexual abuse in the world of show business.

The names of the two alleged British male celebrities cannot be revealed as the content can be libelous and defamatory. It is worth noting that neither of the two British male celebrities, mentioned by Russell Brand, has ever been convicted of a sexual offence.

Russell Brand had wedded US pop star, Katy Perry, in 2010 but had filed for divorce after just 14 months of married life in December 2011. The reason behind the divorce filing was irreconcilable differences.

Comedian Russell Brand also remarked to the 200 guests, at the Duchess Theatre in Covent Garden, about the Sachsgate scandal. Russell Brand and TV star Jonathan Ross had triggered a national scandal in 2008 when they left lewd messages on veteran actor Andrew Sachs’ answerphone during a pre-recorded Radio 2 show. In the lewd messages, Jonathan Ross had remarked that Russell Brand had engaged in sex with the granddaughter of Andrew Sachs.

The two, nonetheless, apologised for their conduct.
