A holiday on Norfolk Broads turned out to be deadly for couple Annette Creegan and John Didier. Annette was strangled into the River Bure by her lover who later drowned himself. Her 13-year-old daughter was found alone in the boat which they had rented.
The incident came into the notice when the hiring company called Le’boat, realised that the couple who had rented the boat had not been received back on Saturday. The body of woman was found just after 14:00 BST on Sunday, while the body man was found after 16:35 BST.
A neighbor of Miss Creegan said she was a “truly wonderful and well-respected” member of the care team who was devoted in improving the lives of her patients. John on the other hand was an IT Analyst at the St Charles Hospital in Kensington but left the job to go travelling.
Det Supt Jes Fry, of the Norfolk and Suffolk major investigation team said, “We are building a time-line of events that will put together in a file for the inquest.”
The young girl is surrounded by lot of worries and problems, which is of paramount concern at the present moment. Although, there are some officers who have said that the little girl is being taken care of.
Police officers who searched the boat are understood to have retrieved duct tape, cable ties, a computer hard drive, a laptop, screws, brackets and lengths of cable.
Certain officers had also telephoned local guest houses and hotels in Norfolk Broads to check if the couple had booked in as they found a lost child.
