London New Year fireworks in 2013 will happen on the River Thames around the London Eye, as per Mayor Boris Johnson, who also voiced on Thursday that the New Year’s Eve fireworks display will put a ceiling on a successful 2012 for London.
The London Eye on the South Bank has been the hub of the capital’s New Year celebrations each year since 2004. Mayor Boris Johnson has also invited Londoners to participate in his Christmas Carol Service on December 17 at Southwark Cathedral.
The 2013 New Year fireworks display is likely to last around 11 minutes. The display has always delighted the Londoners. The likeability of the fireworks display is seen from the fact that it attracts a capacity audience, who experience a lengthy wait in the designated viewing zones along the Thames.
Mayor Boris Johnson has asserted that London in 2012 welcomed the world for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which were massively successful. London organised majestic celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The city displayed its best character for these events, beamed Mayor Boris Johnson.
Boris Johnson, considered one of the future Conservative leaders, has gushed that there was exhilarating sporting action in London in 2012 with marvelous cultural commemorations, which have made 2012 a memorable year for London. Londoners, who contributed to the splendidness of 2012, were thanked by Boris Johnson.
There will be restricted space during the 2013 New Year fireworks display, with the designated viewing zones along the Thames expected to be full by 9pm or 10pm. Access to each zone will be shut as it is full.
The Mayor hoped that Londoners would deliver the same zestfulness and dynamism to the city in 2013.
This will be an electrifying event…looking forward to it…
