French magazine Closer claims to have captured nude pictures of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, encroaching upon the royal couple’s privacy, during their holiday at the French Chateau of the Queen’s nephew, Lord Linley.
Although the images are blurry and taken with a long lens, they are surely of the royal couple, sharing private moments. The Closer magazine planned to publish the four-page photos which included several pictures of Kate and William, many of them with a topless Kate Middleton.
The royal couple were told about the magazine’s intentions of publishing the images over breakfast in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The couple were “deeply saddened and disappointed” for the breach of their privacy, a source said, adding that it was unclear that the pictures were of Kate as they appeared to be heavily blurred.
The source also said, “We will talk to our lawyers in London and counterparts in Paris to see what options are available. We’re not aware of anyone (in the UK) seeking to publish so the Press Complaints Commission is not coming into it.”
French Closer magazine claimed to have exclusive pictures of topless Kate Middleton taken on the terrace of a guest house, where the couple were holidaying, ahead of their Diamond Jubilee tour of south-east Asia and the South Pacific on behalf of the Queen.
French Closer magazine’s website displayed an image of its new cover page which showed a highly blurred image of a woman with dark hair, which it claims to be Kate Middleton, in a bikini, allegedly about to remover her top.
The Duke and Duchess arrived in Singapore on Tuesday and are currently stationed in Malaysia before they move onto Borneo and later to the South Pacific.
