The Iron Man 3 premiere in London on Thursday night had Robert Downey Jr. making a big entrance in Tony Stark style. He had already thrilled fans in Leicester Square before stepping-in on a smoke-filled stadium. Robert tossed his sunglasses into the crowd and ran down the stairs to greet his co-stars for Iron Man 3.
Gwyneth Paltrow was an expected exception to miss the premiere for attending the Tiffany & Co Blue Book Ball in New York. Apart from her, all the stars of the Iron Man sequel walked the red carpet. Robert Downey Jr. who had put a suit and grey trainers looked pretty happy to pose for photographs with Brit co-stars Rebecca Hall and Ben Kingsley.
Iron Man features two new villains in the form of Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) and Aldrich Killian which is portrayed by Guy Pearce. Moreover, this is Robert Downey Jr’s third jaunting as Iron Man. Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, and Ben Kingsley also feature in the film
Speaking to the press at the Iron Man 3 premiere in London, Robert Downey Jr. said: “Right now the future is uncertain, but I think it’s very important that we end this first Marvel phase in a way that is definitive and has people asking questions.” He had also confirmed that he had banked $50 million for his role as Stark in The Avengers. Iron Man 3 would hit the big screens in the UK on April 25.
